RSVSR Guide Ho Oh Pack Day 134 pulls Steel Apron and more

Day 134 with Pokémon TCG Pocket, and yeah, I'm still doing the morning pull like it's a daily ritual. The A Series has plenty to chew on, but Wisdom of Sea and Sky is the one that keeps leaving awkward holes in my card dex. You open pack after pack and start thinking the game's got a personal grudge. I wasn't planning to spend big today, but I did take a quick look at where to buy Pokemon TCG Pocket Items just in case I needed a little nudge to keep the chase moving without wasting time.

Going back to Ho-Oh packs

I went with Ho-Oh packs again, mostly because Lugia's been teasing me and I needed a change of pace. No secret rare fireworks this time, but the session still felt like a win because I finally hit three "new" tags. At this stage, that's the real dopamine. First up was Steel Apron, a Pokémon Tool that's way more practical than it looks. The -10 damage matters, sure, but the special condition immunity is what makes it feel unfair in the right match. When your Steel-type is trying to sit there and soak hits, not getting randomly poisoned or paralyzed can swing a whole game in silence.

Chansey being Chansey

Then I pulled Chansey, and I swear this card always shows up when you're tired and just want something comforting. Scrunch is pure chaos in the best way. Flip heads and you get that one turn where damage just doesn't land, and your opponent has to stare at the board like, "Really?" It's not flashy, but it buys you time. A lot of time. With 100 HP on a Basic, you can stall while digging for evolutions, lining up energy, or just waiting for your next draw to stop being terrible.

Piloswine and the slow grind

The third new card was Piloswine, finally letting my Swinub feel like it's going somewhere. Headbutt Bounce for 70 is no joke, even if three energy is a bit of a commitment. Mid-game, it can trade hits and not fold instantly, which is honestly all I want from a Stage 1 in a set where you're constantly balancing tempo. Those three pulls pushed my Wisdom of Sea and Sky count up to 90 unique cards. It's funny how a "common" can feel like a trophy when you've been staring at the same missing slots for days.

Next up, Lugia

Tomorrow I'm switching over to Lugia packs, partly for variety and partly because the set's still dangling cards I can't seem to shake loose. If the pulls go cold, I might top up through RSVSR since it's handy for grabbing game currency and items without turning the whole day into a grind, and then I can get straight back to ripping packs and chasing that last stretch of completion.
